Most people don’t want to be part of the process, they just want to be part of the outcome. But the process is where you figure out who’s worth being part of the outcome.” -Alex Morton
My purpose as your coach is to hold you accountable and prepare you for life.
Because I care about you, I will challenge you, believe in you, and encourage you to reach your full potential.
As the Head Coach my job is to place you in an environment of excellence, where standards are high, and the values are strong. Where being comfortable and complacency are the enemy. I encourage you to surround yourself with people who push, challenge, and inspire you - this is the best way to set yourself up for success!
“Mediocre people don’t like high achievers, and high achievers don’t like mediocre people.” -Nick Saban, Alabama Football
About Me:
My name is Travione, everyone calls me Mr. T or Coach T, I’ve been coaching for four years coaching Football (Varsity, JV, and middle school) Basketball (girls and boys) and Track. I’m from Detroit Michigan and moved to Arizona in November, and my goal is to develop high character and develop the skills necessary to be a successful member of society.
3 Ways to determine if you really are a GREAT TEAM PLAYER:
1. You accept any role you are asked to perform with a great attitude and enthusiasm.
2. You are never jealous, but instead happy for your teammates' successes.
3. You defend our culture and respect your team and coaches.
Things to remember:
● Grapes must be crushed to make wine.
● Diamonds form under pressure.
● Olives are pressed to release oil.
● Seeds grow in darkness.
Whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed or in darkness, you are in a powerful place of transformation. TRUST THE PROCESS!!!
VISION STATEMENT
The Not So Limited Buffalos will foster a culture of developing high character individuals who have the skills to be leaders in the Buffalos community. The Buffalo athletic program will work with our players to develop the skills necessary to be successful members of society and help them understand that true success is using their abilities to the fullest to benefit others. We will push our athletes to encourage them to put maximum effort into their academics.
PHILOSOPHY
1. Produce a quality product that we, as educators, can point to with pride, where we have provided these student athletes with the tools necessary to be successful in all things in life. To achieve this, we must meet the following: A. Produce a disciplined athlete, one we can depend on to fulfill their
responsibilities and those who depend on them! B. Produce a student athlete who is a leader in areas other than sports,
and encourage him/her to excel in all things.
C. Set and seek worthwhile goals in all areas and prepare intelligently
to meet those goals. D. Produce an athlete who cares about winning and feels upset about
losing. We need to teach them to overcome adversity when it confronts
him/her and to redirect that terrible feeling into positive, constructive
energy. E. Produce a student athlete who will consistently strive to improve
themselves physically and mentally, one who is committed to
maximizing their potential.

Player Guidelines and Policies
As a rule, all players are to conduct themselves with class and dignity, both on and off the court or field. All players are expected to follow the student code of conduct of their school and Not So Limited. Their behavior is a direct reflection of your school and sport program. Any actions that will embarrass them, their team, school, or parents is an action that will not be taken.
Treat all teachers, administrators, and support staff members with respect and common courtesy. All players in this program will recognize and respect the authority of all adults or they will not be a part of the team.
The use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco will not be tolerated. The use of these products is damaging to your health and to the image of our team. The possession or use of drugs or alcohol during school and/or any activities will result in dismissal from the team.
All players are expected to be present and on time to practice.
No Hazing. No player will ever be ridiculed by another player either in the dressing room on the field or court. The Middle School and J. V. players will be respected by the varsity team, and vice versa.
Respect equipment and facilities. The locker room floor will be free of trash and equipment that does not belong there. A punishment will be served if behavior continues. A coach must handle all equipment changes.
Player attire must follow dress code: colors allowed are black, gold, maroon/burgundy, gray, and white. Any deviation will result in a PRIDE reminder.
Use common sense.
Any violation of one or more of these rules is an indication that this program, and being a part of it, does not mean very much to you. Any violation will be dealt with accordingly, ranging from PR to expulsion from the team. Those who work hard and adhere to these policies will be rewarded with success, satisfaction, and an experience to be appreciative of and be proud of the fact that these guidelines are met is an indication that winning is important.
(A) Any player who is late to practice will be held after practice to make up for the time they missed – PR (Pride Reminders). (B) Any player who misses 1 practice without notifying the head coach in person or by phone WILL NOT PLAY a 1/2 in the next game. Any player who misses 2 practices without notifying the head coach in person or by phone WILL NOT PLAY.
In the case of an emergency not foreseen, only the parent/guardian may excuse a player's absence in advance. If this were to happen, the player would not start TRAVELING.
All athletes are expected to ride the bus to and from contests and scrimmages. The bus ride home after the game is an important time for the team to be together to process the game and have time with teammates. No player will be allowed to compete if they miss the bus to the game unless prior permission is granted by the head coach at least two days in advance.
Game Day Attire
On Game days players will be expected to represent the team in a professional manner.
EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORMS
All equipment necessary for your son to participate will be issued to him. It is his and your responsibility to care for and maintain this equipment throughout the course of the season. This includes regular laundering of practice and game pants and jerseys. PLEASE FOLLOW THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE GAME PANTS AND JERSEYS TO ENSURE THE LIFE OF THIS CLOTHING. It is the responsibility of your son to return all cleaned/laundered equipment issued to him at the conclusion of the season on the designated day.
Academics
You are expected to be a student first and an athlete second. Treat yourself with proper respect. To be a member of this team, you must attend ALL SCHEDULED CLASSES (unless you are absent, excused, school business, etc.), and achieve a minimum GPA of 2.0. Poor behavior and/or low achievement is not an acceptable behavior and will result in a Pride Reminder. If this continues, you will be placed on probation. The academic progress of all team members will be monitored throughout the school year.
Players are encouraged to attend tutoring for core subjects provided by the school. Players who are not tutored by a teacher must report to the Study Table in the gym with homework, reading material, notes from class, etc. (Players that have a 3.5 or higher GPA will have the option of Study Tables). NHS members will be available during Study hours for peer tutoring.
TRAVEL CODE AND STUDENT CONDUCT OR TRIPS
The head coach is responsible for his organization’s members. The coach may add special regulations to the school regulations but may not excuse a member from any school regulation.
The coaches are responsible for the full-time supervision of all team members from the time the group leaves the school grounds until the last student has left the school premises after the group’s return.
Gentlemanly conduct is always expected. Any conduct which violates good manners is unacceptable.
Gambling of any type is strictly prohibited.
Visiting with people not directly associated with the team is prohibited without permission from the head coach.
(Failure to do so can result in team dismissal, and is up to the head coach’s discretion. Parent will be responsible for travel home if player is sent home from a road trip.)
Proper attire as designated by the coach is always expected.
Social Media
There is no way for us to monitor the myriad forms of social media available to our players. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc. are great ways to connect with friends, meet new people, and share experiences. With that, understand that any written message, Instagram story, tweet, video, or picture (Snap), once posted to the Internet, never goes away! Parents, please encourage your student to think about what they choose to post on the Internet. Players, if you wouldn’t want your mother, grandmother, or college coaches to see what you want to post, then you shouldn’t put it out there! Athletes can and will be disciplined for inappropriate use of social media.
Player/Parent Concerns
From time to time, there may be a concern about a specific aspect of the participation in our program. If any player or parent feels that a conference is needed to clear up a concern, one will be set up as soon as possible. To help solve any concerns efficiently, you should follow these steps: 1. Speak with the position coach that your concern involves. Request a conference if necessary. 2. Speak with Coach T Request a conference if necessary. Most concerns will be worked out at this level. If you are not satisfied with what transpires at the above levels, the next step would be to speak with the Athletic Director. If all else fails, the principal should be contacted.
Practices are open WITH NOTICE FROM HEAD COACH and parents are invited to watch their athletes participate. While we do have open practices, please allow our coaching staff to do their job during this time. Do not communicate or influence players or coaches during practice.
IF THERE ARE ANY CONCERNS ABOUT GAME DAY PERFORMANCE, WE REQUIRE 24 HOURS AFTER THE GAME OR CONTEST BEFORE Scheduling a meeting with Coaches. (This time allows all parties to speak with a clear head and also gives coaches time to review film)
Physical Paperwork
All players must have an updated physical exam on their own (primary care doctor, walk-in clinic, urgent care etc.). All players MUST have their physical forms turned into Coach T prior to the departure for club camps or the first official practice date. YOU CANNOT ATTEND CLUB OR PLAY IN GAMES WITHOUT A PHYSICAL ON FILE.
